1 out of 5 stars having issues connecting to iPod   February 28, 2009

I got this to connect my iPod to TV. I have TV out enabled and set to widescreen and NTSC. I can get audio out but no video. I tried the "secret" both versions described here and still no luck.

My iPod Nano displays a message to "connect to TV" but it's already connected - even if I unplug and reconnect it still doesn't work.

My iPod Classic doesn't even output audio.

Any suggestions?

6FT 3.5 mm to 3 RCA AV Camcorder Video Cable Sony JVC 6

Although I don't have this particular cable, I found this note on a different site for a product that looks identical:

"If using this cable to iPod video, you will need to following these steps: red plug to yellow jack, yellow plug to white jack, white plug to red jack."

Maybe this will work for others having problems with iPod connectivity.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent for hooking up to a Sound Blaster Audigy   January 5, 2007

I purchased this cable as a replacement for a similar cable purchased from another vendor.

Since the target was my sound card, and my sound card has three connections that are very close together and must be used if you want 7.1 channel output, it was incredibly important that the 3.5mm plug end be thin. The cable I had purchased prior to this was *far* too large.

As far as the quality of the actual sound produced from this cable, well, you're taking a 4 pole 3.5mm plug and converting it into three RCA plugs. I don't think the cable is at fault for the quality of the sound, it's just not a good idea to use a 4 pole plug to deliver good quality sound.
